I heard ‘macrame’ from a tv show and it was calling me. it’s my natural to be attracted to new, unique, handmade things. so, I search over google and youtube for the tutorial. and since yesterday I was trying to make a ‘simple’ star flower from various colors of yarns. when I saw the tutorial in youtube, I am 100% sure that this is easy… but, at first attempt, I didn’t even know how to make the right knot. and the yarn is got all over the way like an octopus tentacle. so, I put that aside. and at the second attempt, I was getting better, but still, all of the yarns in one side of the star looks mess, and looks different because I screwed up with the knot [again].and today At the third attempt, it was getting closer, but the center of the star still didn’t connect, so when I pull each side, my star will form a line… -_- need to start the fourth attempt.
But… here’s the pictures of ….. all the attempts I’ve tried. I’ll keep trying because it’s fuuuunnn… God gave us brain an the capabilities to think. we can learn anything….anything you wish. Ganbate!!!!
This is the tutorial video from youtube made and uploaded by MacrameSchool, enjoy
I’ve been working on simultaneous random things this week that got me wide awake with glass of hot coffee in my desk.
Up : a little crochet bag for my nephew down : a crochet soft case for my sister’s notebook.
Explosion Box :
Remember the explosion box I made for Mr. A for his birthday. Last Month, I made it again for my friends for His Girlfriends birthday [happy]. and this week my student asked me to make one for her friends birthday. so, that’s what I am gonna do and stick with for the next days (or weeks). Here is the last explosion box I made last month :
I am working on this bag. I made bunch of granny squares to make quite big sling bag. you know, I really like to take my notes, pen, and book everywhere I go. Sometimes small bag just confused me when I want to take those lovely things with me. Can’t wait to finish this bag….. Yay…yay…yay…. just some squares to go…. (some means 15 / more )
Granny Squares bag is on her way
I like wall art, was trying to make one. hahahahaa its not even considered as a wall art, but I’m glad I make it and hanging this thing in my wall. It’s cute…. I made this from the pieces I used for stop motion. recycling is a great things to do you know… you never know what they can be once you start to stick with it.. 😀
An Old Version
I’ve been stay in my parents house for the past 3 weeks, since that was a holiday, and the next school year in high school is just about to begin. that 3 weeks holiday minus couple days to give lectures.
I spent most of my time visiting relatives, baby siting my adorable nephew, and my little angel, Larasati, and visiting neighborhood to get into socialization sometimes. meanwhile, I was making lots of crochet flowers, that applicable for a brooch, headpin, etc.
FLOWER NO. 1
2nd of April was A’s Birthday…. I was preparing the whole things. From call his students to ask for cooperation, ask his sister to sleepover in my board, bought a cake, made an explosion box, and stop motion. ^_^ the idea is, me and his sister surprise him with a birthday cake early morning say ‘happy birthday’ that simple.
In your 27th birthday (you tricked me, and I happened to believe that you were 1988 dude…. ck… sneaky) I just hope that your life will be meaningful for everyone around you. love you family as always, and allow me to open the door, please. 😀
here is the stop motion I made, I was capturing about 420 pictures for whole animation. it’s not as good as what I saw in the youtube, less light and tripod. sorry, A. I’ll do better next time. hihi…
